IELTS

The IELTS (International English Language Testing System) is an internationally recognised exam that certifies English proficiency from B1 to C2 according to the CEFR (Common European Framework of Reference). It is widely accepted by universities, employers, and immigration authorities around the world.
Our IELTS English course is designed for adults who want to prepare for the Academic or General Training modules of the IELTS exam. The course focuses on developing the four key skills while mastering the strategies and techniques needed to achieve the highest possible band score.
Achieving a strong IELTS score opens doors to international study, professional opportunities, and global mobility. Students learn to understand and respond to authentic academic and everyday materials, express themselves clearly and accurately in both written and spoken English, and gain the confidence to perform successfully under exam conditions.

Course objectives:
- Develop the 4 skills (Reading, Writing, Listening, Speaking) to a level that allows you to:
- Achieve the IELTS band score required for your goals (academic or general).
- Communicate fluently and accurately in academic, professional, and everyday contexts.
- Understand a variety of complex written and spoken English texts.
- Produce clear, well-structured, and task-focused written and spoken responses.
What is covered in the course:
- Grammar: advanced structures to enhance accuracy and complexity in your responses.
- Vocabulary: academic and topic-specific vocabulary for higher-band performance.
- Exam strategies: time management, understanding question types, and techniques for maximizing your score in each section.
- Communicative practice: intensive speaking sessions, writing feedback, and full exam simulations under real test conditions.
Exam structure:
- Listening (approx. 30 min + 10 min transfer for paper-based)
- 4 recordings with 40 questions.
- One-on-one conversation, everyday monologue, academic conversation, and academic lecture.
- 4 recordings with 40 questions.
- Reading (1h)
- 40 questions on 3 long passages (Academic) or multiple shorter texts (General Training).
- Tasks include multiple choice, matching, sentence completion, short answers, and summary completion.

- Writing (1h)
- Two tasks.
- Task 1: Describe or summarize visual information (Academic) or write a letter (General).
- Task 2: Write an essay responding to a problem, argument, or opinion.
- Two tasks.
- Speaking (11–14 min)
- One-on-one interview.
- Part 1: Introduction and questions on familiar topics.
- Part 2: Cue card presentation for 1–2 minutes (1 min preparation).
- Part 3: Follow-up discussion on abstract ideas.
- One-on-one interview.
