Cambridge C2 Proficiency

The expression “take the plunge” is an idiom in English that means to make an important and risky decision, usually after thinking about it for a long time, or to dare to do something difficult or uncertain – essentially, “to take the step” despite the fears.
The C2 Proficiency is an official Cambridge exam that certifies a very advanced (C2) level of English according to the CEFR (Common European Framework of Reference). It is internationally recognized as proof of full mastery of the language in high-level academic and professional contexts.
Who is it for?
- Students who already have a solid C1 level and want to:
- Demonstrate full command of English in academic and professional contexts.

- Certify an advanced level for competitive exams or official requirements.
Course objectives:
- Develop the 4 skills (Reading, Writing, Listening, Speaking) to a level that allows you to:
- Communicate with precision and naturalness in any context, including high-level academic and professional situations.
- Understand long and complex texts, identifying nuances, details, and implicit meanings.
- Write high-quality, well-structured texts with a sophisticated style (essays, articles, reports, and proposals).
What is covered in the course:
- Grammar: advanced structures and flexible, accurate use of the language.
- Vocabulary: complex idiomatic expressions, high-level collocations, academic and professional terminology.
- Exam strategies: time optimization, techniques for tackling complex questions, and advanced writing for cohesion and style.
- Communicative practice: formal debates, academic presentations, and speaking simulations with personalized feedback.
Exam structure:
- Reading & Use of English (1h 30min)
- Comprehension of extensive and demanding texts (articles, reports, and high-level academic texts)
- Advanced grammar and vocabulary (gap filling, sentence transformations, and word formation)
- Writing (1h 30min)
- Writing 2 texts: a compulsory essay and one to choose from article, review, report, or letter.
- Listening (aprox. 40min)
- Comprehension of complex audio (lectures, interviews, and academic debates)
- Speaking (aprox. 14min, en pareja)
- Conversation on abstract and complex topics, discussion, argumentation, and detailed analysis.

- Friends and family: 10% per “new” student + 5% cumulative for each additional student, applicable for one term.
- Unemployed people: 25% discount on any fee for 1 student throughout the entire course (DARDE document).
- University students: 20% discount on any fee for 1 student throughout the entire course.
