“The Full Package” represents our approach to English for teenagers: a complete learning experience that combines all the essential language skills and helps students develop increasingly fluent, accurate and independent English.
“Go the Extra Mile” means making an additional effort to achieve better results. It perfectly reflects this stage, as students go beyond a consolidated B2 level and begin to develop more advanced, accurate and natural English.
This course is designed primarily for teenagers who already have a B2 level and want to continue progressing towards B2+/basic C1. The aim is to broaden and consolidate their knowledge, improve accuracy and fluency, and gradually begin working on aspects of C1, creating a solid foundation for further progression towards this level.

Go the Extra Mile is designed primarily for Secondary School students who have already reached approximately B2 and want to consolidate their skills and progress towards B2+.
Groups are organised primarily by level, although we also take age and school year into account. If an older student needs to work at the same level, we will try to offer or create an equivalent group with students of a more similar age, provided there is sufficient demand.
Throughout the course, students will develop their ability to communicate with greater fluency, accuracy and independence, express more complex ideas, considerably expand their linguistic range and deal confidently with an increasingly wide variety of texts, audio and situations.
The aim is to achieve a solid B2+ level, consolidating the skills acquired at B2 and building a strong linguistic and communicative foundation for continued progression towards C1.
The course consists of 2 hours of English per week, with sessions designed to provide a balanced approach to the different language skills and maintain regular contact with English throughout the week.
The course can be taken in person at our Barcelona centre or online, depending on availability and group formation. Online groups will open once 3–4 students have been confirmed.
We work with small groups of no more than 6 students, allowing everyone to participate actively and enabling the teacher to monitor each student’s progress closely.
Homework is part of the course and will be set weekly to consolidate what has been covered in class, increase students’ contact with English outside the classroom and encourage greater independence and good study habits.
Our approach is communicative, practical and participative, with increasingly high expectations and a particular emphasis on students being able to use English with fluency, accuracy and independence.
English will be the main language of communication in the classroom, and students will be expected to maintain longer conversations, develop and justify complex ideas, respond spontaneously to other people’s opinions and adapt the way they express themselves to different situations and contexts.
Grammar and vocabulary are taught in meaningful contexts and combined with speaking, listening, reading and writing. At this level, particular attention is paid to expanding students’ linguistic range, using more precise and natural expressions and developing greater control of complex structures.
The course allows students to go beyond the requirements of B2, consolidating what they already know while gradually incorporating language associated with more advanced levels. The aim is not yet to begin specific preparation for C1 Advanced, but to build a solid B2+ foundation that facilitates the transition towards C1.
The course develops grammar, vocabulary, speaking, listening, reading and writing in an integrated way, starting from approximately B2 and progressing towards B2+, with a gradual introduction to language associated with C1 level.
Grammar and structures
Students will consolidate B2-level structures and extend their work with complex structures, advanced verb forms, conditionals, modal verbs, the passive voice, reported speech, relative clauses, gerund and infinitive structures, and emphatic structures. Particular attention will be paid to developing greater grammatical flexibility and control, avoiding common errors and using structures with greater naturalness and precision.
Vocabulary
Students will considerably expand their lexical range through collocations, phrasal verbs, word formation, dependent prepositions, idiomatic expressions, synonyms and differences in register. Particular emphasis will be placed on the ability to choose more precise and natural words and expressions and adapt language to different contexts.
Speaking and communication
Students will develop their ability to express, develop and defend complex ideas, speculate, evaluate different perspectives, negotiate and respond spontaneously. They will work towards communicating with greater fluency, accuracy and flexibility, using an increasingly broad linguistic repertoire.
Listening and Reading
Students will work with longer, more varied and more demanding written and spoken texts, with increased exposure to authentic language. They will develop strategies for understanding opinions, attitudes, intention, tone, implied meaning and nuances, while gradually becoming more confident when working with material approaching C1 level.
Writing
Writing will be developed through longer and more sophisticated texts, with particular attention to organisation, cohesion, register, accuracy, linguistic range and style. Students will learn to develop arguments in greater depth and adapt their writing to different purposes and audiences.
The aim is to achieve a solid B2+ level, consolidating B2-level skills while developing the range, accuracy and independence needed to continue progressing towards C1.
Is any previous knowledge of English or a level test required?
Yes. Students need to have a sufficiently consolidated B2 level to join this course, as we will build on this foundation to progress towards B2+/basic C1.
New students who have not previously passed an official B2-level exam will need to take a level test before joining the course. This can be done online or in person at Eureka, although we recommend the in-person option as it allows us to assess the student’s level more accurately and determine whether this is the most suitable group.
Students who already study at Eureka do not need to take another level test, as we will take into account their progress and the level reached during the previous academic year.
Is it necessary to have taken B2 First or B2 First for Schools?
No. An official B2 certificate is not required to join the course. Students who have not taken B2 First, B2 First for Schools or another equivalent official exam can join if their level test confirms that they have the necessary B2 level.
Students who have already passed an official B2-level exam will not need to take an additional level test.
How are groups organised by age and level?
Groups are organised primarily according to English level, as this is the key factor in ensuring appropriate progression.
We also take age and stage of education into account and, whenever possible, aim to form well-balanced groups of students of similar ages.
How many students are there in each group?
We work with small groups of no more than 6 students, allowing everyone to participate actively and enabling the teacher to monitor each student’s progress closely.
Are the teachers native speakers?
Our team consists of native English-speaking teachers or teachers with a native-equivalent level of English, selected both for their command of the language and their ability to work with teenagers and adapt classes to their age and level.
Are the classes entirely in English?
English will be the main language of communication in the classroom and, at this level, students are expected to use it regularly and with increasing spontaneity and accuracy.
Other languages may occasionally be used when necessary to clarify particularly complex concepts, but the use of English will be actively encouraged throughout the lesson.
Is this a C1-level course or a C1 Advanced preparation course?
The course starts at approximately B2 level and aims to progress towards B2+/basic C1, consolidating B2 while gradually introducing structures, vocabulary and skills associated with more advanced levels.
The aim is to build a solid foundation for further progression towards C1, so some students may begin working on aspects of this level during the course.
However, this is not a specific Cambridge C1 Advanced exam preparation course. The individual exam papers, strategies and specific exam techniques are covered in our dedicated C1 Advanced preparation courses.
Will there be homework?
Yes. Homework is an important part of the course and will be set weekly to consolidate what has been covered in class, reinforce areas that require additional practice and encourage greater independence and good study habits.
What happens if a student misses a class?
If a student is unable to attend a class, we will provide the information and/or materials needed to catch up, whenever possible. As these are group classes, sessions missed due to a student’s absence cannot be made up individually and are not deducted from the course fees.
Our fees are calculated on the basis of an average of 35 teaching weeks per academic year. The exact number of sessions may vary slightly depending on the day of the week and the academic calendar, and some groups may have an additional session. These small variations are already taken into account in the course fees.
What happens if Eureka has to cancel a class?
If Eureka has to cancel a class and we are unable to provide a substitute teacher, we will offer a make-up session. If it is not possible to reschedule the class, the corresponding amount will be deducted from the next payment, whether monthly or termly.
Are any discounts available?
