A1.2 – English for Teenagers – Get The Ball Rolling

The expression “the full package” is an idiom in English that means “the complete offer” or “everything included.” It is used to describe a person, product, or experience that has all the desirable qualities or features.
“Get The Ball Rolling” is our A1.2 course, the second sublevel of A1 according to the CEFR (Common European Framework of Reference). The expression refers to to starting something, especially an activity, project, or process, so that others can continue or participate.
It is designed for teenagers who already have a basic foundation in English and want to consolidate what they have learned and progress toward the pre-intermediate level (A2), gaining confidence and security in their communication.
Who is it for?
- Teenagers aged 12 to 18 who have completed A1.1 or have basic English knowledge.
- Families who want their children to use English more independently at school and in daily life.
- Students preparing to make the leap to A2 and strengthen their foundation for future official exams.
Course objectives:
- Reinforce and expand the vocabulary and structures covered in A1.1.
- Learn to:
- Express likes, opinions, and routines in more detail.
- Talk in the past (introduction to Past Simple with regular verbs).
- Describe people, places, and activities with greater accuracy.
- Participate in longer conversations about everyday topics.
- Increase confidence to express themselves orally and in writing in basic situations.
What the course covers:
- Grammar:
- Review of to be, have got and can + introduction to Past Simple (regular verbs).
- Use of there is / there are, basic quantifiers (some/any), simple comparative and superlative adjectives.
- Vocabulary:
- Daily life, leisure, travel, shopping, food, and more detailed descriptions.
- Activities:
- Role-plays and simulations of real-life situations (in a shop, at school, with friends).
- Videos, music, and adapted readings to reinforce structures and vocabulary.
- Creative projects (presentations, group work, posters).
- Skills:
- Listening & Speaking: maintain short conversations and respond to questions.
- Reading & Writing: understand short texts and write simple paragraphs about their environment and experiences.
Discounts:
- Friends and family: 10% per “new” student + 5% cumulative for each additional student, applicable for one term.
- Unemployed people: 25% discount on any fee for 1 student throughout the entire course (DARDE document)
