A1.1 – English for Kids – A New Chapter

The expression “the whole kit and caboodle” is an idiom in English that means everything, absolutely everything, leaving nothing out. It is similar to saying “the whole lot” or “the entire set,” and it is used when someone includes all things, people, or possible elements in something.
“A New Chapter” is our A1.1 course, the first sublevel of A1 according to the CEFR (Common European Framework of Reference).The expression refers to starting something significant, a fresh stage or period in someone’s life, often involving change, growth, or a new beginning.
It is designed for children to start learning English in a fun and communicative way, acquiring the foundations to express themselves in very simple situations.
Who is it for?
- Children aged 6 to 10 who are starting from scratch or with very basic knowledge.
- Families who want their children to develop English from an early age with a playful approach.
- Students who need to build a solid foundation before moving on to higher levels.
Course objectives:
- Introduce English naturally through games, songs, and interactive activities.
- Learn to:
- Introduce themselves (name, age, likes, family).
- Talk about their surroundings (school, home, friends).
- Understand and use basic phrases for everyday needs.
- Encourage confidence so children participate and lose their fear of speaking in English.
What the course covers:
- Basic grammar:
- Verb to be (to be), have got (to have), can (can).
- Use of articles, pronouns, and simple adjectives.
- Vocabulary:
- Colors, numbers, animals, family, classroom objects, food, clothing, games.
- Activities:
- Communicative games and group dynamics.
- Songs and stories to reinforce vocabulary and structures.
- Crafts and worksheets to consolidate learning.
- Skills:
- Listening & Speaking: understand and repeat simple phrases, answer basic questions.
- Reading & Writing: recognize words and write simple sentences with visual support.

- Friends and family: 10% per “new” student + 5% cumulative for each additional student, applicable for one term.
- Unemployed people: 25% discount on any fee for 1 student throughout the entire course (DARDE document)
