The expression “the whole nine yards” is an idiom in English that means: “everything possible” or “the full amount.” It is used when you want to show full effort or commitment or to emphasize completeness.

“Break The Ice” is our A2.1 course, the first sublevel of A2 according to the CEFR (Common European Framework of Reference). The expression refers to doing or saying something to make people feel more comfortable and relaxed in a social situation, especially when they first meet.

The course is designed for adults who have completed A1 or have a basic foundation in English and want to improve their fluency and expand their ability to handle everyday situations with more independence.

• Adults who have completed A1.2 or have a basic foundation in English.
• Learners who want to communicate more confidently in everyday and travel situations.
• Those aiming to progress toward a pre-intermediate level (A2).

Course Objectives:

By the end of this course, students will be able to:

• Communicate more confidently about everyday activities, plans, and experiences.
• Talk about past events and future intentions using different tenses.
• Handle practical situations like making arrangements, asking for help, and dealing with simple problems.
• Understand and give simple directions, instructions, and explanations.
• Expand their vocabulary to describe personal experiences, preferences, and routines.
• Read and write simple texts like short emails, messages, and personal stories.
